- Ensure that your RangeXTD is on and is properly connected to the main internet gateway.
- Once ensured, turn on your PC and open WiFi settings.
- There, look for the SSID of your WiFi booster. The default SSID is RangeXTD.
- Connect to the extender’s SSID and open a web browser.
- Then, input the IP 192.168.7.234 and press Enter.
- A login page will show up.
- There, enter the default password “admin” into the given field and select Login.
- The admin password of your repeater is case-sensitive.
As soon as you select Login, you will get redirected to the dashboard of your Range XTD WiFi booster. From here, you can make changes to the settings as per your wish.
What to Do If You Can’t Log in to RangeXTD WiFi Range Extender?

The Range XTD Controls app is available on the respective application store of your mobile phone. It means if you are using an Android device; download the app via Google Play Store. However, iOS users need to access the App Store.
How to Use Range XTD Controls App?
The steps given below will help you learn how you can log in to the RangeXTD app after connecting your mobile device to the WiFi network of a Range XTD booster:
- Open the Range XTD Control app on your mobile phone.
- You will see a login screen.
- Input the administration password of the repeater.
- Tap Login.
- You will successfully land on the dashboard of the app.
- Tap the respective menu to change the home network settings.
This is how the RangeXTD login process can be completed with the help of the mobile application. In case, you experience any difficulty managing your WiFi booster, it is recommended that you upgrade the app. Also, ensure that you are not connected to some other WiFi network.
Changing the default admin password of the Range XTD WiFi booster is important because it prevents unauthorized access to other users.
